Torch Enterprises Inc. launched intending to create opportunities for generations to "pass the torch" to increase ownership and equity in the black community.

FEMA hired torch Enterprises Inc. to support the Post Hurricane Katrina Disaster Recovery. For five years, Dr. Jolly lived and worked with black businesses and their communities on the Southern Gulf Coast. During this time, the beginnings of the NarrowRoad™ started to form in observing the inequity in the rebuilding effort.
Dr. Jolly, determined to identify culturally relevant strategic ways wealth could become a standard in the black community, pursued two additional degrees (Mts in Theology and an Ed.D) to complement her academic and professional experience in the worlds of finance, business, and strategy.

Dr. Jolly traveled across the country on a research journey interviewing thousands of African Americans about their relationships with money, wealth, faith, and community. Findings from her research furthered the progress and development of the NarrowRoad™.
Dr. Jolly released the book The NarrowRoad™, A Guide to Legacy Wealth, to wide acclaim. She began teaching from the book in corporate-sponsored workshops throughout the country.

Was a year of demonstration and preparation for the NarrowRoad™ with the launch of its first national strategy around black homeownership (2017) with the oldest black trade organization in the country and the launch of two Legacy Wealth Initiative Cohorts with partners CBMA (The Detroit Black Male Equity Cohort) and the Omaha Empowerment Network (Legacy Wealth Initiative). In addition, Torch hosted two Pastors Wealth Intensives, several Women's Wealth Intensives, and a Young Professional Wealth Intensive.
In partnership with her Legacy Wealth Cohorts, Dr. Jolly curated two anthologies around legacy wealth-building, highlighting both groups' applied learnings.

Leveraging the NarrowRoad™ as a framework, Dr. Jolly served as the Black Wealth Strategist for Cities United's Russell Place of Promise, an initiative committed to advancing wealth in their community.
Dr. Jolly released the NarrowRoad™ 2.0, the Journey to Wealth Your way, a four-book series designed to further educate wealth builders on ways to accelerate their road to wealth as a legacy. She hosted her first cohort using the new materials during the pandemic guiding black wealth builders towards their defined goals for wealth as a legacy.

Dr. Jolly graduated the first cross-generational family cohort on the NarrowRoad™
Partnering with Wordee CEO Marva Allen, Dr. Jolly will release the 2nd edition of the NarrowRoad™ Guide to Legacy Wealth this year.
